“...Sebastian Zawadzki combines a deep sense of classical technique and composition with jazz creativity and improvisation. The result is highly original music that defies categorization. A very promising album recorded by a very talented musician.” - Larry Grenadier (jazz bassist known for his work with renowned musicians and his role in the Brad Mehldau Trio)

SEBASTIAN ZAWADZKI

Pianist and composer. A graduate of the Syddansk Musikkonservatorium in Odense and the Rytmisk Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen, tutored by renowned teachers, among others Brad Mehldau, Larry Grenadier, Jakob Bro, and many more. Since 2010, he has been based in Denmark, continuously expanding his musical horizons.
First recognized as a child prodigy with perfect pitch, Zawadzki quickly gained a reputation as an innovator, combining the achievements of classical music with contemporary jazz improvisation. By the age of 19, he had already been admitted to a prestigious conservatory in Odense (Denmark) and later continued his studies in Kraków, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen, where he developed his unique style.
Sebastian Zawadzki has composed and recorded numerous albums with his own music, and as a sideman for other artists. A standout moment in his career was participating in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop in Los Angeles, where he conducted his own composition for symphony orchestra at the 20th Century Fox Newman Scoring Stage.
Zawadzki has consistently created his musical world and has been consistently invited by acclaimed artists for cooperation, such as Adam Bałdych (as a member of his quintet released at ACT Music in the beginning 2025) and as an arranger for Oscar-winning composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek and many more
Considered one of the most creative pianists, Zawadzki is known for his sensitive, emotional but dynamic playing style and innovative approach to improvisation, establishing himself as a significant figure in contemporary jazz and classical music scenes.
Zawadzki’s music derives from the rich source of classical techniques and sounds, but in its nature, it is unpredictable, free, and deeply rooted in the jazz idiom. He consciously refers in his music to Polish tradition and blurs the borders between classical and jazz music.
His fast-growing career has allowed him to present his music at many prestigious festivals and concert halls around the world, including performances in Poland, Denmark, Sweden, the United States, Kazakhstan, Germany, Italy, and many more.
Sebastian Zawadzki continues to push the boundaries of jazz and classical music, offering a fresh and emotional take on the contemporary music scene.
