Altair is a contemporary orchestral album by Sebastian Zawadzki, written for symphony orchestra, piano. Combining contemporary classical composition with cinematic storytelling, the music unfolds through expansive orchestral textures, evolving harmonies and deeply atmospheric sound worlds.

Recorded in Copenhagen and Budapest, the album explores themes of distance, transformation and human connection. The compositions move between intimate moments and large-scale symphonic landscapes, creating a listening experience that is both emotionally direct and sonically immersive.

Drawing inspiration from contemporary orchestral music, film scoring and modern classical composition, Altair balances structural depth with accessibility. Rather than focusing on virtuosity, the music develops through atmosphere, orchestration and gradual emotional progression.

Altair represents Sebastian Zawadzki's most ambitious orchestral work to date, bringing together symphony orchestra, piano and percussion in a contemporary classical project that bridges the worlds of concert music and cinematic composition.
